Emerson is an Australian, but he won the clay-court Suisse Open five times and keeps a home in Gstaad, a tiny (and tony) village of 3,200 in southwestern Switzerland. The arena that now bears his name is relatively small — it seats about 6,000 — but the beautifully clean views of tree-lined hills and the Alps that rise behind them are absolutely breathtaking.
