It's going to take a lot more than a simple drawing to solve our nation's hunger problems, but when a famous celebrity is the one doing the doodling, it sure does rare awareness! Just ask the organizers of the wildly successful "Doodle for Hunger" celebrity art auction, an annual fundraising event that benefits New York's St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters by auctioning off original doodles created by actors, artists, athletes, politicians and other notable figures.
More than 650 guests attended the 2014 live auction, which was facilitated by Heritage Auctions and raised a whopping $700,000 to benefit St. Francis, which supports a network of programs for those in need, including the provision of food, clothing, shelter and related social services. Continue on to see just a few of the doodles that will be auctioned off later this year. (Text: MNN staff)
