When Make-a-Wish made a 5-year-old boy’s dreams come true, the residents of San Francisco, and all over the world, stepped up to the plate with an outpouring of support worthy of a superhero. Miles, who had recently completed four years of treatment for leukemia, wished to be Batkid for a day, and thus, he was. Tens of thousands of Bay Area residents came out to cheer the Batkid on as he fought crime and battled villains in an elaborately staged ersatz Gotham City, culminating in what may be the feel-good event of the year. Faith in humanity restored? Check.

One fan of the pint-sized superhero commemorated the day with a spot-on faux film trailer, "Batkid Rises," which you can watch below. Now we can feel warm and weepy all over again.
