Lake Myvatn, Iceland

Located in Northern Iceland, this is another starkly beautiful shooting location. Used extensively in the second and third seasons, the landscapes around Myvatn saw as much screen time as any other filming location.

The area is known for its unusual volcanic features. You might miss the snowy landscapes that you saw in the show if you visit during the summer, but you will get to see a huge number of migratory birds, who come here to breed during the warmest months.
