Stanbrook Abbey

Stanbrook Abbey is a hotel and venue in the Midlands county of Worcestershire. This 17th century abbey in a rural setting was once inhabited by people who took a vow of silence. The grounds are expansive. Stanbrook sits on 50 acres of gardens and lawns. The centerpieces are the neo-gothic church and nuns' quarters. Some of the hotel's 57 suites are located in former prayer cells, while others are spacious multi-room accommodations that are decorated in grand Georgian style.

Because of its spacious grounds and location (less than an hour from England's second largest city, Birmingham), Stanbrook is a popular wedding venue. There is a marquee on the property that can be used for celebrations of up to 300 people. The indoor Great Hall, meanwhile, can host 250.
