R.W. Lindholm Service Station

The only gas station ever designed by Frank Lloyd Wright is located at the corner of Minnesota State Highway 33 and Minnesota State Highway 45 in downtown Cloquet, Minn. Wright designed the station as part of his Broadacre City project, a Utopian idea for a new urban landscape, but it was one of the few parts of his Broadacre design that was ever constructed. Made of cypress wood, glass and steel, the R.W. Lindholm Service Station features radiant heat, four service bays and a glass observation lounge.
