Ondrej Cibak Whitewater Slalom Course, Slovakia

Europe's second oldest human-made whitewater paddling venue is Slovakia's Ondrej Cibak Whitewater Course, which uses a dam to divert water from the Vah, Slovakia's longest river. Like its German peer, this course has spectator areas and regularly hosts canoe and kayak competitions. Professional slalom canoeists and kayakers also train on the course, so whenever you visit, you can see some of the world's best paddlers carving through the rapids. Cibak also boasts a family-friendly water park, so even people with little or no experience can enjoy the thrill of whitewater during a guided raft trip down the course.
