Crystal Bowersox, the runner-up on last season's "American Idol", was married last weekend in a eco-friendly gown by Vermont designer Tara Lynn.

According to sources, the dress was a hemp and cotton creation, featuring macrame, seashell and bead detailing. It was created in Lynn’s solar-powered studio.

The lucky groom was Brian Walker, a singer/songwriter who has been dating the 25-year-old for the past six years.

"Our lives have never made more sense than they do right now," the "American Idol" runner-up told People magazine. "I can't believe how incredibly lucky we are to have found so much laughter, love and light within each other. We're one happy Walkersox family."

Back in May, Bowersox shared a bit of her eco-friendly knowledge with MNN's Gerri Miller saying, “Try shutting down your computer at night. You’ll save an average of $90 a year in electricity charges.”
