“Top Chef” may not be particularly eco-friendly entertainment, but I watched about a half-season of the reality show while on a JetBlue flight to New York earlier this year. My favorite chef? Carla Hall, who made delicious-looking dishes and showed fierce competition doesn’t require getting rude or nasty.

My flight-long obsession didn’t inspire me to keep watching the show once on the ground, but “Top Chef” fans know that Carla Hall is now a “Top Chef All-Stars” contestant. And today, Carla is actually going to go eco-foodie on us — by talking about local, seasonal ingredients for holiday cooking via a live chat.

Carla’s chat is part of Tom’s of Maine’s “Wicked Fresh! Wednesdays” live chat series. Just come back to this page today, Wed., Dec. 15 at 5 pm (8 pm EST), to get local, seasonal cooking tips and answers to your sustainable cooking questions from Carla herself.
