Workplace flexibility is important to today’s workforce, so important that 45 percent of working adults surveyed would be willing to give up a portion of their income in order to work from home. When looking at 18-34 year-olds, this figure jumped to 54 percent.
The 2013 Mom Corps Workplace Flexibility Survey also revealed that 73 percent of respondents said that flexibility is one of the most important factors they consider when looking for a new job. This figure jumped more than 10 percent over the first two surveys. In 2011, the inaugural year of the survey, 62 percent responded positively tot his statement. Last year, the figure dipped slightly to 61 percent. Obviously, the mobile workforce is growing and both employees and businesses are embracing the change.
