TIME’s “The Green Design 100” includes the top green picks in several categories including eco-cities, kids stuff, hotels, websites and more. Five current and future commercial buildings have made the list in the green architecture category: One Haworth Center, Malibu Lumber Yard, Shanghai Tower, Madrid International Convention Centre and the Seawater Vertical Farm.
One Haworth Center
Now the firm is being recognized as the creative genius behind one of the top architecture projects on TIME’s The Green Design 100 for the One Haworth Center building. The 300,000 square-foot headquarters of office furniture and interior component company, Haworth, is a LEED-NC Gold registered project.

The Madrid International Convention Centre is another work-in-progress. With an expected completion date sometime in 2012, “The outermost layer of the building is formed by an array of flat hexagonal-shaped aluminum panels that form a bee-hive pattern across its surface, each with different dimensions and angles, according to the position on the global geometry.” Source: Playgrounds M+T

The architecture section also included a couple of residential projects including Taliesin’s Mod.Fab and the Dwell Home Collection from Lindal Homes.
