I remember watching some of the first news reports from the Occupy Wall Street movement and thinking that I’d never seen anything quite like that before. I honestly hadn’t but what I didn’t know is that this movement was predated by over 100 years. In 1874, protestors marched onto New York City’s Tompkins Square to draw attention to unemployment and inequality issues.
