Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah has more crude oil reserves at his disposal than the leader of any other country, yet must import large amounts of food and other necessities due to a scarcity of natural resources such as water, forests and arable land. The country is so reliant on oil that its vast reserves are expected to dry up in 72 years, less than half the estimated lifespan of Canada's and Iraq's smaller oil fields.
