As I noted last year in a round-up of eco-friendly calenders for '10, the art of planning has pretty much gone with way of "i". Virtual/paperless planning options aside, there's nothing quite like a beautifully designed calender hung in a kitchen or placed on a desk.

Below are 11 eco-friendly calendars — a great holiday gift option for that constantly harried and disorganized person in your life  — to help you keep on top of things in 2011. They vary in their "greenness": some are made from materials like recycled paper; some support eco-causes like the local food movement; one is perpetual and can be used year after year; and, finally, one features 12 joyous months of one of my favorite people, Betty White (proceeds go to the Morris Animal Foundation).
