Most community recycling programs accept plastic bottles curbside. These include water and soda bottles, shampoo and mouthwash bottles, and milk jugs. Most community recycling programs don’t yet accept grocery bags or plastic film curbside. Plastic film includes newspaper bags, produce bags, food storage bags and dry cleaning bags.
The good news, however, is that dropping off your plastic film is easier than ever, with thousands of major retailers on board. Check out this helpful infographic which has a few simple rules of thumb that can make recycling more plastic much easier.
