Kousa dogwood

The Kousa dogwood (Cornus kousa) has a mottled tan and gray bark in the winter. It can grow up to 30 feet tall and has blooms that appear in late spring. It grows best in rich, medium moist soils that are acidic to neutral. Cultivate in zones 5 to 8.
