Last week's total solar eclipse was a confusing phenomenon for a brood of chickens in the Faroe Islands.

A time-lapse video shows the chickens gathered outside their coop, but as the sky gets dark, they do what they always do when it gets dark and make their way inside.

However, within minutes the sunlight returns and the rooster emerges from the coop to announce the beginning of a new day. (Bet they'll tell the grandchicks about that one.)
